We’re planning a GMPTT learning event ….

As part of the GM Pathways to Talking Project we asked all the GM localities to complete a stocktake at the beginning of the project – which is a self evaluation of implementation of the GM Speech, Language and Communication pathway. We talked to locality multi-agency leaders about strengths and gaps in delivery and it was so good to hear about all the outstanding practice in place across GM and so the idea was sown for our best practice event.

This builds on our commitment throughout the project for peer support and so we are planning a peer learning event for GM locality leaders including early years commissioners, strategic service leads, team leaders from across health, local authority and voluntary and community early years services. We are also inviting project leads from all the other EOF projects and pleased to be joined by colleagues from the DfE and from the BBC to talk about the Tiny Happy People campaign.

The day will include a number of presentations, best practice case studies, afternoon workshops and a lunchtime market place event with information and resources from GM localities and a few other relevant organisations.

A save the date email has been sent out and further details and a booking email will be going out in the next week. So please put the date in your diary – Monday 2nd December at the AJ Bell stadium in Salford. Looking forward to a great day!
