Thursday 10/10/19 17.00-18.00: Dr Katelyn Melvin of the University of Queensland will be talking about her PhD research, which explores how speech and language therapists can support families to become engaged in SLT intervention in the early years.
Katelyn is a speech-language pathologist and researcher who is passionate about innovative service delivery and engaging families in intervention for long-term change. Katelyn is currently working part-time in paediatric private practice while completing her PhD within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at The University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. In particular, her thesis describes what effective engagement in early speech-language pathology intervention looks like and explores how speech-language pathologists can support families to become engaged in intervention in the early years.
